Launching a new website without putting 301 redirects in place
is literally committing SEO suicide. Not only will you lose all of
your past SEO history, your rankings (and traffic!) will plummet.
Always, ALWAYS 301 redirect your old site pages to your new
ones to let Google know where your new content can be
found. Write great title tags. Good title tags should be like an interesting newspaper headline but with relevant keywords included. The search engine result pages fluctuate because of what visitors are looking for, and it is very difficult to remain in one position for long. The best way to secure high quality links is by creating strong content that sources will naturally want to connect their readership to. A few years ago, a study found that only 4.8% of searchers make it to the second page of search results. Page 3? Only 1.1%. I suppose that’s why they say the best place to hide a dead body is on page two of Google.
Be sure you've considered every possible angle
Backlinks help search engine bots discover links to your site and crawl your site effectively. LSI keywords are synonyms that Google uses to determine a page’s relevancy (and possibly quality). Sprinkle them into every post. Google does not work only the way it used to work, and as a result, this impacts a lotof websites built a certain way to rank high in Google. User experience is in turn a very crucial factor when it comes to ranking a website. Users hate to wait and if you make them do it, they will leave. Millions of businesses and individuals are competing for visibility in search engines, and many of them are writing what is, subjectively, “good” content. But what makes that content “good”?
What Is Keyword Density?
Build a list of other niche blogs in your field. Start commenting on their blogs
with insightful comments, and then reach out to them and ask if you can write
one guest post for them. If they accept, write NEW content for their blog (don’t
just copy and paste something already existing on your blog). Remember to
include a couple links within your post linking back to your site, using anchor
text with your relevant keywords. Over the last several years, Google has made huge strides in driving better UX (user experience). Your homepage is the most important and likely your strongest webpage. The link power (AKA link juice) is distributed from the homepage to all other subpages. Ideally, you should distribute the link juice evenly to all other subpages through internal links and easy navigation menus. SEO in York is here. Over the years many people have tried to game the system by creating content that is stuffed full of keywords in the hope that repeating their keyword phrases over and over again will in some way get them to the top spot of Google. While this tactic may have worked in the 90’s and early 2000’s it is time to put this to bed and stop creating content that is written solely for the search engines. These search engines have evolved and now recognise and reward natural language so the best piece of advice is to write naturally and for humans. Make your descriptive tag engaging. Google and other search platforms will use it to create that little blurb about your site. Users often read these before deciding whether or not to visit a site. Concise, descriptive blurbs draw visitors to your site, sometimes even before sites that rank higher than yours in a search.
How are you supposed to do it?
Gaz Hall, a Freelance SEO Consultant, commented: "The mobile version of your website is equally important, if not more important than the desktop version. Mobile-first, they say. Fact is, that your website probably has as many mobile visitors as it has desktop visitors, of course depending on the type of site you have" All too often, when we’re brought in for SEO work on a redesign,
it’s often late in the process, such as when the site is being
coded or even totally complete. “Hey, we should probably
have the SEO guy take a look at this before we launch,” but by
then, it’s too late. The functionality of your site should not surprise site visitors or interfere with a user’s ability to navigate. Google Plus works powerfully and Google has really given their Plus button a big advantage when it comes to their own ranking factors. It’s phenomenal. Information Architecture allows people and search engines to better understand the content structure on a site.
Template footprint leaving a low ratio of original content
SEO is not just one technique, if you focus on just one thing you will not get the full benefits of SEO and you risk losing everything if Google change their algorithm again. It’s a common misconception that the internet is the ultimate learning environment. Yes, you can find everything you need, for free, but the information you end up with is not always trustworthy. It’s scattered, often outdated and sometimes contradictory. As we all know, Google change their algorithm 500+ times a year, and these are the small tweaks to make user experience and results better, and these are largely unconfirmed. Then come the larger, more drastic algorithmic changes that sometimes cause a stir in the SEO industry, mainly due client sites being negatively impacted. When you work as an SEO executive in a company, what is the method used to gauge the level of success? Investors want to see something tangible that can outline return on investment. You should never make your site too complicated, as it is important that search engine easily parse the content of your site and index them without any difficulty.
Use Google’s features and follow guidelines to avoid penalties

Link Building is arguably one of the easiest steps to Search Engine Optimization, since links don’t really need to be written or phrased in a certain way. Keyword research is one of the most valuable things you can do to obtain and maintain high search engine rankings and promising SEO results. For most small businesses, a keyword combination contains usually three or more targeted words that describe what you do. Machines are writing stories and that is often something Google is not a fan of. For years SEOs have focussed on the sharp end of the funnel. and for good reason: the search terms with transactional intent bring in revenue. Let’s be clear, these search terms should remain a staple of any website focussed on ROI.
